Heaven Bloom kinetic installation

Ascending rows of metallic florets cascade down an expansive wall of Calacatta marble, their polished surfaces catching ambient illumination to create an undulating field of reflected light that transforms WHYIXD's Heaven Bloom Kinetic Installation into a breathtaking meditation on natural growth patterns rendered through precision engineering and material poetry. The installation occupies the central vertical axis of a double-height contemporary interior, its diamond-shaped aggregate of individual kinetic elements expanding outward from a dense golden-bronze apex toward increasingly silvered and white-toned peripheries, suggesting the chromatic transition from warm autumn harvest to winter frost or the gradual bleaching of petals under sustained sunlight. Compositionally, the work employs a modified lozenge formation, its widest horizontal span occurring approximately two-thirds down the configuration before tapering toward the base, creating visual weight that grounds the ethereal flutter of individual components. The chromatic architecture progresses through burnt umber and antique brass tones at the crown, transitioning through champagne and pewter mid-sections, culminating in pearl-white and chrome elements along the lower and outer edges, establishing a deliberate temperature gradient from warm to cool that reads as temporal progression or seasonal metamorphosis. Reflected light creates ghost images upon the polished marble surface and the mirror-finished ceiling panels above, effectively tripling the installation's visual presence and establishing an infinite regress that amplifies its contemplative power. The surrounding architectural envelope provides masterful counterpoint through its restrained palette of Calacatta veining in grey and white, warm walnut millwork, charcoal flooring, and cream upholstered seating arranged in conversational groupings below. Linear LED coves trace horizontal boundaries where ceiling meets wall, their cool white emission contrasting the warmer spotlighting that animates individual floret surfaces. Each kinetic unit appears constructed from faceted metallic petals arranged in umbrella or parasol configurations, their geometric precision suggesting both organic seed heads and engineered mechanisms, a hybridization characteristic of biomorphic design traditions extending from Art Nouveau through contemporary parametric practice.

“Heaven Bloom” is located in the lobby of a building which was designed with concept of nature. The installation is composed of 144 mechanical metal flowers which were made of aluminium and stainless steel, different finishes were applied to metal in order to produce special textures and colors. The metal flowers will be in bloom out of the surface and become a dynamic piece collocated with the ambient sounds. Different patterns and movements allow flowers create a near-natural scenario indoors, building a simulation of a phenomena in nature.
