Enota's Termalija Family Wellness Swimming Pools presents a breathtaking interior architectural composition where the eye is immediately commanded by an extraordinary faceted timber ceiling structure that cascades downward in crystalline geometric formations, creating a cavernous envelope of warmth and spatial drama above a serene aquamarine pool basin below. The compositional architecture employs a dynamic diagonal armature, with the angular wooden planes converging toward a central support column that rises organically from the pool deck, its sculptural mass wrapped in the same geometric timber cladding that defines the overhead canopy. The chromatic palette establishes a sophisticated dialogue between the honeyed warmth of oriented strand board panels in tones ranging from pale straw yellow to deeper ochre and raw sienna, punctuated by dark triangular voids that read as deep charcoal or near-black apertures housing recessed illumination sources. These shadowed geometric penetrations create rhythmic visual accents across the undulating ceiling surface, their angular forms echoing the crystalline vocabulary of the overall structural system. The aqueous turquoise of the pool water introduces a complementary cool temperature, its celadon and cyan depths providing chromatic balance against the dominant warm woody envelope. Verdant botanical elements populate the composition with tropical plants of deep hunter green and emerald positioned in the foreground and along a living wall installation at the middle ground, their organic forms and glossy leaf textures offering biomorphic counterpoint to the angular architectural geometry. Diffused daylight enters through a generous glazed curtain wall at right, establishing soft naturalistic illumination that models the three-dimensional facets of the ceiling while maintaining an even, welcoming atmospheric quality. The spatial construction employs dramatic perspectival recession, with the faceted planes diminishing toward a staircase visible through the central structural column, inviting visual and physical procession deeper into the wellness environment. Surface textures range from the striated linear grain patterns of the timber panels to the smooth liquid plane of the pool water and the lush tactile quality of living vegetation, creating rich material dialogue.
Termalija Family Wellness is the latest in the series of projects which Enota has built at Terme Olimia in the last fifteen years and concludes the complete transformation of the spa complex. Viewed from a distance, the shape, color and scale of new clustered structure of tetrahedral volumes is a continuation of the cluster of the surrounding rural buildings, visually extending into the heart of the complex. The new roof acts as a big summer shade and doesn't usurp any of the precious exterior space.
