The compositional architecture operates on a masterful interplay between vertical emphasis and horizontal grounding, where towering panels of striated grey marble establish rhythmic colonnade-like divisions along the peripheral walls while the highly reflective floor surface of polished stone in warm umber and cool taupe striations creates a mirror plane that doubles the perceived volume and introduces a secondary reading of the overhead sculptural forms. The chromatic palette demonstrates refined restraint, orchestrating a harmony of neutral tones spanning from cool silver-grey marbles through warm bronze metallic accents in the vertical fin screens to deep espresso browns in the central feature wall, all punctuated by crystalline transparency in the organic water-splash sculpture positioned at right foreground. As one of the port city along the Yangtze River, the Zhangjiagang hotel design details inspired from its unique geographical location. The designers used Oriental Aesthetic Chinese Shanshui Painting as a nursery of ideas in style. The designers took the color and shapes from the Mountains and Water as the cultural theme inspiration and used modern materials, texture and finishes to perfectly present a pleasurable experience to guests. The fundamental core values of Chinese cultural philosophy were applied to design technique to emphasize the unity and harmony.
