Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025
Li Huang's Cny Design For The Year Of The Snake Milk Packaging presents a tripartite arrangement of elegantly proportioned bottles positioned against a warm gradient background transitioning from soft cream to burnished gold, establishing an immediate atmosphere of celebration and prosperity. The compositional architecture employs classical triangular grouping with the central bottle elevated slightly forward, creating a pyramidal hierarchy that draws the eye through careful spatial orchestration. Each vessel features a distinctive sculptural neck wrapped in sumptuous gold-toned metallic finish with undulating serpentine bands rendered in vermillion red adorned with floral medallions, the chromatic interplay between warm metallics and crisp white bodies establishing a sophisticated complementary dialogue. The serpent motif appears in two manifestations: the central bottle displays a fully chromatic coiled snake rendered in rich coral red with intricate scale patterning picked out in jade green and gold accents, while flanking bottles present the same creature in elegant gold line work against pristine white grounds, demonstrating masterful variation within thematic unity. Typography integrates seamlessly with decorative programs, featuring traditional calligraphic characters in gold and accent colors framed within organic cartouches of coral, orange, and cream. The lighting paradigm suggests diffused studio illumination falling from above and slightly forward, creating gentle gradations across the curved surfaces while enhancing the metallic luminosity of the neck treatments. Surface texture differentiates zones of visual interest: the matte satin finish of white bodies provides restful passages against which the glossy metallic accents and illustrated elements achieve heightened presence. Edge behavior demonstrates precision throughout, with crisp silhouettes defining bottle profiles against the atmospheric ground while softer transitions occur within illustrated passages. The overall compositional schema achieves dynamic equilibrium through asymmetrical balance, the three vessels occupying approximately two-thirds of the visual field with generous negative space above allowing the warm gradient to function as environmental context rather than mere backdrop.
The limited edition packaging for Shiny Meadow 2025, themed around the Year of the Snake, features an innovative champagne bottle profile, a gold foil closure, and an interactive double-layer labeling system. The top layer of the label exhibits a snake pattern that can be lifted without damage, unveiling a hidden blessing phrase on the lower layer. Traditional Chinese zodiac symbols is transformed into a consumption ritual, while the streamlined grip design of the bottle enhances the experience of drinking fresh milk, making it culturally enriched and engagingly anticipated.
