Mirabilis Bar and Dusk Lounges and Bars

Monumental perforated metal sculptures resembling fantastical blooms cascade from above in Lau Chun Hoong's Mirabilis Bar and Dusk Lounges and Bars, their latticed petals rendered in gradations of cobalt blue, ultramarine, and hints of violet that seem to pulse with integrated LED illumination against the deep indigo of the nocturnal sky visible beyond the open-air terrace setting. The compositional architecture establishes a dramatic diagonal thrust from upper left toward center right, where the largest sculptural flower commands attention through sheer scale, its mesh-like construction creating a delicate filigree effect that simultaneously suggests organic growth and technological precision. Descending tendrils of fiber optic strands or metallic filaments hang like luminescent jellyfish tentacles, introducing vertical linear elements that counterbalance the radial geometry of the floral forms above. The chromatic palette orchestrates a sophisticated interplay between cool cerulean and electric blue dominants in the overhead installation, warm amber and golden ochre undertones emanating from the curved bar counter below, and verdant chartreuse accents provided by climbing foliage that traces vertical supports at left. The bar itself presents an elegant elliptical form sheathed in brushed metallic cladding with concealed underlighting that creates a warm aureole at floor level, its dark polished countertop creating a horizontal anchor for the composition. Spatial depth unfolds through three distinct zones: the immediate foreground occupied by sleek black woven bar stools arranged in rhythmic procession, the middle ground dominated by the illuminated bar where figures engage in service activity, and the distant background revealing an extended dining terrace with tables beneath a ribbed ceiling structure warmed by sunset-hued lighting. The atmospheric mood achieves a quality of enchanted twilight, where the boundary between interior hospitality space and exterior nocturnal environment dissolves, inviting contemplation of the relationship between artificial spectacle and natural wonder in contemporary experiential design.

Mount Faber Leisure tasked the design team to amplify the popularity of hilltop dining destination, Dusk Restaurant and Bar through the introduction adjective of Iconic. Such initiation would come with a brand new look and feel to the premise (with its stunning seafront and city view) for both the dining and cocktail experience. It is paramount to showcase an expanded professional kitchen with an elevated menu and develop an exclusive hilltop members-only Cigar Room.
