Silver A' Design Award Winner 2025
GOOD PLACE's Goldwin Headquarters Office Interiors presents an expansive industrial-contemporary workspace where the exposed ceiling infrastructure commands immediate visual attention, creating a dramatic overhead landscape of silver-toned ductwork, conduits, and mechanical systems that traverse the space in rhythmic horizontal bands punctuated by elongated linear LED fixtures emitting cool white illumination along diagonal trajectories converging toward a distant vanishing point. The compositional architecture establishes a profound sense of perspectival depth through the one-point linear perspective created by the receding ceiling elements and the floor plane's transition from polished grey concrete tiles in the left foreground to an irregular organic mosaic of slate-grey and charcoal stone fragments occupying the right portion, this geological patterning suggesting dried riverbeds or fractured earth formations that introduce naturalistic irregularity into the geometric order. The chromatic palette operates within a sophisticated neutral range dominated by cool greys spanning from pale silver in the metallic ceiling infrastructure through medium graphite in the wall cladding composed of modular rectangular panels to deep charcoal in the stone flooring, this monochromatic restraint interrupted by warm honey-toned wooden seating elements arranged as minimalist cubic forms along the left wall and interspersed among verdant plantings at right. The biophilic intervention introduces lush viridian and emerald foliage comprising substantial potted trees and undergrowth specimens positioned in weathered concrete planters against a textured earthen-toned wall surface that reads as rammed earth or raw plaster, creating a striking thermal and chromatic counterpoint to the industrial coolness pervading the remainder of the space. The luminosity derives primarily from the suspended linear fixtures creating parallel bands of artificial daylight that cast even, diffused illumination throughout the volume while allowing the ceiling infrastructure to remain visible and celebrated rather than concealed, the lighting quality suggesting productivity-oriented environments calibrated for visual comfort. Spatial depth extends dramatically toward the far wall where the grey panel cladding creates a neutral terminus, the vast open floor plane suggesting flexibility and programmatic adaptability while the peripheral seating and planting zones establish intimate human-scaled moments within the larger industrial envelope.
The headquarters relocation project of Goldwin, a company that develops global brands such as The North Face, has yielded a unified office space of 6,000 square meters. This new space serves as a platform for communication and as a base for the Goldwin's global outreach. In line with the company's commitment to authenticity, only natural materials have been used for all finishing materials. The design concept envisions a harmonious integration of the six floors into a unified entity, akin to a single tree, creating an organic spatial composition with distinct expressions on each floor.
