Ge Sang Lv Wu Corporate Logo

Bronze A' Design Award Winner 2025

Xiaobing Cheng's Ge Sang Lv Wu Corporate Logo manifests across three vertical banners presented against an expansive cerulean sky scattered with cumulus clouds, each banner suspended from cylindrical grey poles and displaying a dynamic visual identity system characterized by bold chromatic fields and fluid organic contours that divide each rectangular format into undulating color zones. The leftmost banner establishes a triadic color harmony through vibrant magenta occupying the upper two-thirds, transitioning through a sweeping S-curve boundary into brilliant cyan in the middle register, culminating in a luminous cadmium yellow lower zone, with a stylized white trefoil or clover emblem positioned in the upper left quadrant accompanied by script characters. The central banner presents a complementary relationship between spring green and scarlet red, the green forming a sinuous wave descending from upper left while the red rises from lower right, both colors meeting at a dynamic diagonal interface, with crisp white occupying negative space at top right, the composition creating rhythmic movement through the opposing chromatic temperatures of cool green and warm red. The rightmost banner mirrors the triadic structure through vermilion in the upper half and cyan in the lower, separated by another fluid organic boundary suggesting natural forms like hills, waves, or flower petals, maintaining visual continuity with the left banner while establishing chromatic variation. Each banner features identical white script typography arranged vertically near the bottom third, the characters rendered in a contemporary sans-serif face ensuring legibility against the saturated color fields, while the white trefoil emblem recurs consistently across all three banners, functioning as a unifying brand mark with its rounded organic geometry suggesting growth, nature, prosperity, or luck through the culturally resonant three-leaf configuration. The compositional structure employs asymmetrical balance through the dynamic positioning of color zones, creating visual rhythm across the horizontal sequence of banners while maintaining individual compositional integrity within each vertical format, the undulating boundaries between color fields introducing organic movement that counters the rigid rectangular formats and straight poles, suggesting natural phenomena like landscapes, floral forms, or abstract expressions of vitality and growth. The chromatic strategy demonstrates sophisticated understanding of color theory, deploying saturated hues at maximum intensity to ensure visibility and impact in outdoor environmental contexts, while the complementary and triadic relationships create vibrant optical energy and chromatic vibrancy that commands attention across distance. The lighting conditions captured in this environmental installation photograph reveal natural daylight from upper right, evidenced by the slight shadowing on the left edges of the banners and the directional illumination animating the fabric surfaces, while the brilliant azure sky provides an ideal chromatic foil that amplifies the saturation and luminosity of the banner colors through simultaneous contrast, the white clouds introducing tonal variation and atmospheric depth to the background plane. Surface qualities suggest durable outdoor textile material, likely polyester or vinyl banner fabric with a slight satin finish that catches light without excessive glare, the material exhibiting gentle rippling and dimensional folds that activate the flat graphic fields with subtle shadow play and three-dimensional presence. Edge treatment throughout the design vocabulary favors clean hard edges between color zones, creating crisp optical boundaries that maintain clarity and legibility, while the organic contours introduce sensuous curves that soften the geometric severity and introduce biomorphic associations. Stylistically, this corporate identity system demonstrates affinities with contemporary flat design principles, eschewing gradients, textures, and dimensional effects in favor of pure chromatic planes and simplified geometric-organic forms, while the saturated palette and bold scale recall mid-century modern graphic design, Swiss Style color theory applications, and the optimistic chromatic exuberance of contemporary tech and lifestyle branding. The atmospheric resonance conveys celebration, vitality, accessibility, and contemporary sophistication, the outdoor installation context suggesting public-facing commercial application for retail, hospitality, event, or lifestyle-oriented enterprise, while the repeating pattern with variation creates unified brand presence that maintains visual interest through chromatic diversity, the entire system projecting approachability, energy, positivity, and confident contemporary identity within competitive commercial environments.

The biggest challenge it faced in logo design was how to visualize the most natural feeling. it use extracted core elements from nature, such as flowers and clouds, and transformed them into simple graphics to convey the power of nature. The logo design uses soft curves to imitate the shape of clouds and the stretch of petals, giving the brand a simple and natural temperament. At the same time, we chose natural colors as the main color of the brand, such as sky clouds, and gray and white convey simplicity and regression, enhancing visual appeal and emotional expression.
