FREDERIC ROLLAND ARCHITECTURE's Zhejiang Pinghu Sports Center emerges as a sweeping organic form when viewed from this elevated aerial perspective, presenting a stadium structure that unfolds across the landscape like a continuous ribbon or flowing textile draped across the terrain, with the curvilinear perimeter establishing a gentle ovoid footprint that departs dramatically from conventional rectilinear athletic facility typologies and instead embraces biomorphic geometry suggestive of natural phenomena such as river meanders, wind-sculpted dunes, or the growth patterns of living organisms. The compositional architecture follows a roughly centripetal organization, with the athletic field functioning as the gravitational center surrounded by ascending tiers of programmatic elements, the innermost being the verdant green playing surface bordered by the distinctive terracotta-hued running track whose warm sienna tonality provides chromatic counterpoint to the cool sage greens of the grass. A dramatic tensile membrane canopy in pristine titanium white cascades over the primary grandstand section, its billowing fabric-like form creating luminous peaks and valleys that catch the diffused atmospheric light, this membrane structure occupying approximately one-third of the stadium's circumference and establishing the dominant architectural gesture visible from this vantage point. The palette operates within a restrained yet sophisticated range: the steel blue-grey of the continuous elevated promenade ribbon that encircles the entire facility creates a unifying datum line, while the supporting structural colonnade beneath reveals rhythmic vertical elements in neutral concrete grey. Beyond the immediate athletic precinct, the composition reveals a thoughtfully integrated landscape strategy featuring a substantial water body with reflective surface qualities that mirrors the overcast pearlescent sky, bordered by mature deciduous trees whose canopies range from deep forest green to lighter chartreuse depending on species and light exposure, and rectangular training pitches in the right portion displaying the characteristic chromatic variation of different turf conditions. The urban fabric extending toward the atmospheric horizon establishes a contextual backdrop rendered in muted blue-greys and warm terracottas, with residential towers creating vertical punctuation against the hazy sky whose luminosity suggests either early morning or late afternoon diffused illumination conditions conducive to even, shadow-minimal photography.

Pinghu Sports Center is adjacent to East Lake Park and close to Changsheng Road on the west side. The total land area is 146,204.13 m2, the building covers an area of 26,356.86 m2 after renovation and extension, with a total construction area of 24,440.19 m2. There are basketball, badminton, volleyball, tennis courts, football fields, and other sports fitness venues, which is a public sports infrastructure open to the citizens. In order to meet the 2023 Jiaxing Games, Pinghu Sports Center has optimized and rebuilt the facade, interior, and landscape of Pinghu Stadium and gymnasium.
