Babak Eslahjou's 210 Bloor Multi Residential House rises as a crystalline sculptural volume against a twilight urban panorama, its façade composed of an intricate tessellated skin of triangular glass panels that catch and refract the transitional light of blue hour in a symphony of cool cerulean, pale silver, and warm amber reflections emanating from interior illumination. The compositional architecture positions this striking tower along the left two-thirds of the frame, its irregular massing creating a dynamic silhouette that breaks from conventional rectilinear high-rise typologies through a series of volumetric shifts and angular projections that step back and forth as the structure ascends. The chromatic palette operates within a sophisticated range of cool blues and neutral silvers across the reflective glass surfaces, punctuated by warm incandescent glows of approximately 2700K emanating from residential units visible through transparent triangular apertures that function as deep-set balconies carved into the geometric façade. The lighting paradigm captures the magical threshold moment between day and night, with the western sky presenting gradients from pale peach near the horizon through lavender to deep azure overhead, while the metropolitan backdrop sparkles with countless artificial light sources creating a luminous tapestry of urban habitation. 210 Bloor is a 29-storey mixed-use building home to 42 residential units, 126m2 of retail space and 3 levels of below-grade parking. The development will result in a gross floor area of 15,589m2 with an overall density of 20 times the area of the lot. The design features a mirrored glass triangular tessellated geometric pattern on the east and west facades, which are designed right to the property line. The mirrored finish of the hexagonal panels creates a canvas of reflected light and forms.
