The chromatic orchestration demonstrates sophisticated restraint, establishing a dialogue between the cerulean and aquamarine hues of the pool water, which occupy the lower third of the composition with their gentle rippling surface catching ambient illumination, and the cool blue-grey tonalities of the panoramic landscape mural that extends the entire left wall, depicting layered mountain ridges dissolving into atmospheric mist in gradations from Payne's grey through powder blue to pale silver-white.
