Seta Kitchen Design

Sevinc Gokce's Seta Kitchen Design presents a sophisticated interplay of industrial materiality and domestic warmth, establishing its visual hierarchy through a tripartite vertical organization where whitewashed brick walls create a textured backdrop of considerable depth and archaeological presence, their lime-washed surfaces exhibiting the gentle undulation of aged masonry rendered in tones ranging from titanium white through warm grey to subtle ochre undertones where mortar reveals itself between courses. The composition divides into distinct horizontal registers: the upper zone features a suspended metal shelving system in oxidized bronze finish, supported by slender vertical rods descending from the ceiling, creating an airy architectural intervention that frames living herbs in terracotta vessels and ceramic objects whose matte surfaces absorb the ambient illumination. The middle register establishes the primary chromatic statement through tall cabinet panels finished in a desaturated steel blue reminiscent of Payne's grey with cerulean undertones, their perfectly flush surfaces creating monolithic planes that anchor the composition with geometric certainty. These flank a central cooking station where integrated ovens with bronze-tinted glass fronts create dark rectangular voids that punctuate the blue field. Below, the island counter emerges as a horizontal mass clad in vertically ribbed panels finished in warm grey-green approaching terre verte, their linear texture introducing rhythmic shadow play that softens the geometric severity. The countertop surface presents extraordinary visual complexity through verde marble or quartzite displaying dramatic veining in deep forest green, oxidized copper tones, and cream striations that introduce organic chaos within the ordered architectural framework. Natural light enters from the left, creating soft gradations across surfaces and establishing a contemplative atmosphere of refined domesticity balanced between contemporary minimalism and material authenticity.
