Golden A' Design Award Winner 2023
Cerrad Design Team's Brazilian Quartzite Tiles command attention through their extraordinary chromatic complexity, presenting a sumptuous interior environment where large-format porcelain surfaces simulate the geological drama of natural quartzite with remarkable fidelity. The wall treatment features dramatically veined slabs in sage green, teal, and mineral-rich ochre striations that cascade diagonally across the vertical expanse, creating visual movement reminiscent of metamorphic stone formations frozen mid-transformation. The floor plane employs a cooler, silver-grey iteration of the same material family, establishing tonal counterpoint while maintaining material cohesion through shared veining characteristics. Compositionally, the image adheres to classical tripartite spatial organization: a raised plinth occupies the middle ground, supporting a pristine white freestanding bathtub that functions as the compositional fulcrum. Sculptural topiaries in graduated sizes anchor the left side, their organic spherical forms and verdant chromatic warmth providing essential visual relief against the mineral dominance. Three pendant luminaires with copper-toned fixtures descend from above, introducing metallic warmth and establishing vertical rhythm. The lighting appears naturalistic, entering from a tall glazed aperture at right, creating soft modeling across surfaces and gentle shadows beneath the greenery. The chromatic scheme operates through sophisticated complementary tensions between green-blue mineral tones and warm copper accents, while maintaining overall harmony through repeated ochre veining that bridges wall and floor treatments. Textural interplay between the glossy tile surfaces, matte ceramic vessel, and organic foliage establishes sensory variety within material restraint. The spatial construction suggests depth through overlapping planes and atmospheric softening toward the window edge, inviting contemplation of luxurious domestic sanctuary.
Brazilian Quartzite: elegant, classy and stylish. Patterns and tonality ideally reflect the look of natural stone, and due to the innovative manufacturing technology, tiles can also be used outdoors. The multiformat collection is available in two types of finishes: polished and mat. The 6 mm thickness allows for a vast number of applications. These 100 percent natural tiles will bring luxury into any space where quality of the finishing material closely ties into achieving a desired atmosphere.
