Silver A' Design Award Winner 2023
Champagne-gold metallic surfaces catch carefully orchestrated illumination against a deep charcoal-violet backdrop in Hangzhou GEMO Technology Co., Ltd.'s Gemo Luxury Beauty Device G10 Skin Care, where two elegantly sculpted personal care instruments stand upon geometric pedestals rendered in matching shadowy tones, creating a tableau of refined technological sophistication that recalls both contemporary industrial design excellence and the timeless principles of sculptural presentation. The compositional architecture deploys a masterful asymmetrical balance, positioning the frontal-facing device at left of center while its companion angles rightward in three-quarter orientation, together forming an implied diagonal that guides the eye across the picture plane from lower left toward upper right, establishing dynamic visual rhythm within an otherwise contemplative stillness. The chromatic palette operates within a strictly limited yet sumptuous range: the devices themselves present lustrous champagne-gold metallic passages that transition into deep aubergine-violet flanks, these dual tonal families harmonizing through shared warm undertones while establishing sufficient contrast to articulate the complex faceted geometry of each form. Light enters from an elevated position forward and slightly left, producing soft gradients across the curved golden surfaces that suggest polished brushed metal of exceptional refinement, while the violet side panels absorb illumination to create passages of velvety depth reminiscent of burnished gemstones or fine automotive lacquer. The spatial construction maintains deliberate ambiguity between shallow relief and moderate depth, the stepped pedestals providing just enough recession to establish volumetric credibility without disrupting the compositional unity of figure and ground. Edge treatment throughout demonstrates exceptional precision, with hard delineations defining the junction between metallic gold and violet surfaces, while softer atmospheric transitions characterize the devices' relationship to the surrounding darkness. The faceted crowns of both instruments feature what appear to be translucent aquamarine elements, introducing a cool chromatic accent that provides visual relief from the warm-neutral dominant palette while suggesting functional optical components. Surface texture is rendered with photographic precision yet maintains an idealized quality that elevates the objects beyond mere documentation into the realm of aspirational imagery, the brushed metal finish reading as simultaneously tactile and pristine.
G10 is small in size and light in weight. Its appearance is inspired by the wings. The whole curved surface is flexible and smooth with both aesthetics and practicality with a comfortable hand feeling. It employs the innovative sapphire flat flash port and radio frequency-ice anti-aging technology to provide continuous cooling for the skin epidermis, to avoid pain, redness, sensitivity and other problems caused by high temperature in a faster and more evenly way for skin recovery.
