Hu Sun's Times Mansion Residential Exhibition Area reveals itself through an elevated aerial perspective that transforms landscape architecture into living calligraphy, where sinuous white concrete ribbons flow through verdant masses of mature deciduous trees and meticulously sculpted ornamental plantings in an orchestration of organic curves against geometric precision. The compositional armature follows a dynamic S-curve that draws the eye from the upper left quadrant dominated by the spreading canopy of a magnificent specimen tree whose branches extend like protective arms over the water feature below, through the middle ground where a crescent-shaped viewing platform hovers above dark reflective water, and into the lower right where terraced white retaining walls cascade in rhythmic waves alongside an emerald lawn panel. The chromatic palette achieves remarkable sophistication through the interplay of viridian and sap green foliage tones ranging from the bright chartreuse of new growth to the deeper hunter greens of mature hedging, all set against the pristine white of cast concrete elements that read as pale cream where light strikes directly and cool gray in shadowed recesses. The water feature functions as a dark mirror, its surface rendered in deep charcoal and slate tones that absorb and reflect the surrounding vegetation while providing dramatic tonal contrast to the white architectural interventions. Stepping stones traverse the water in a deliberate processional sequence, their pale forms creating a visual rhythm that suggests movement and invitation. Spherical topiary forms punctuate the planting beds like green pearls, introducing geometric counterpoint to the prevailing curvilinear vocabulary. The lighting condition suggests mid-morning or late afternoon, with soft directional illumination creating gentle shadows that define the three-dimensional modeling of plant masses and architectural surfaces while maintaining overall luminosity and freshness. When the designers first arrived at the site, they were enchanted by the goldenrain tree and camphor preserved there. They planned to reconstruct the site on the basis of preserving the original ecology. The overall design, such as space layout and flow line, kept away from the original trees; highlighted their values and gave them new lives. They strived to intervene in the site in a "humble" way and adapt to local conditions. They used trees to create a forest theater under the urban reinforced concrete.
