FENG CHENG's Hongzhou Academy Sales Center emerges from the twilight landscape as a sculptural meditation on the dialogue between traditional architectural archetypes and contemporary material expression, captured at the liminal moment of dusk when warm artificial illumination begins to assert itself against the cooling cerulean and peach gradient of the fading sky. The structure commands the composition's central axis, its distinctive roofline featuring sweeping curved profiles that evoke the graceful upturned eaves of classical East Asian architectural tradition while being rendered in sleek metallic cladding that transforms this historical reference into decidedly modernist vocabulary. The building presents a complex volumetric arrangement where two primary masses intersect, each crowned with these signature undulating roof forms that terminate in dramatic upswept points accentuated by continuous amber LED edge lighting that traces their sinuous contours like threads of molten gold against the deepening atmosphere. The facade system demonstrates sophisticated layering, combining vertical standing-seam metal panels in warm silver-gray tones with extensive glazing that reveals the luminous interior spaces beyond, creating a compelling tension between opacity and transparency, solidity and lightness. The compositional structure follows an approximate golden section division, with the building mass occupying the upper two-thirds while the carefully choreographed landscape and hardscape elements occupy the lower register, establishing a grounded horizontal base from which the architecture ascends. The foreground plaza presents geometric precision through rectilinear paving patterns interrupted by linear light channels embedded flush with the ground surface, these illuminated lines creating a dynamic network that extends the architectural vocabulary into the horizontal plane and guides circulation while simultaneously functioning as nocturnal wayfinding elements. The building is located at an intersection in Nanchang County, so it uses two typical blocks facing the urban road respectively which shape the building and form the entrance square. The building has a fairy well outline that reminds people of the traditional chinese building, and the elegant roof curve is very impressive too.
