Industrial Dynamic Autocare Cafe

Dominant charcoal-gray steel trusses and black-framed fenestration establish an industrial vocabulary in Chaos Design Studio's Industrial Dynamic Autocare Cafe, where exposed structural members create a geometric armature overhead that organizes the visual field with rhythmic diagonal bracing and triangulated supports rendered in matte black iron oxide tones against raw concrete ceilings exhibiting the cool neutral gray of unsealed Portland cement. The compositional hierarchy pivots around a centrally positioned service counter clad in dark veined stone suggesting nero marquina or similar black marble, its angular pentagonal footprint generating dynamic diagonal leading lines that draw the eye toward the espresso station where burnished copper and warm honey-toned wood provide chromatic relief against the prevailing achromatic palette. Pendant luminaires descend at varied heights in a constellation of industrial dome fixtures finished in matte charcoal and warm taupe, their warm-white illumination pools creating islands of amber radiance against the cooler ambient daylight streaming through towering arched windows that dominate the right register. The floor plane presents polished concrete with subtle gray-green undertones and reflective passages that mirror the overhead infrastructure, establishing visual continuity between ground and ceiling planes. Spatial depth proceeds through clearly articulated zones: the immediate foreground opens as circulation void, middle ground contains the bar island with high seating in black powder-coated metal, while the glazed facade reveals verdant exterior foliage in muted sage and olive tones, providing biophilic counterpoint to the interior's industrial materiality. The asymmetrical balance distributes visual weight through the leftward placement of vertical service elements including refrigerated display cases with warm interior lighting and a suspended signage element, counterpoised by the extensive glazing and seating arrays rightward. Edge treatments oscillate between the hard precision of steel members and the softer atmospheric transitions where daylight diffuses into interior shadow.

In this double volume industrial building, a collaborative business between Frank Laurent Coffee Roaster and Lee Motors Bodyworks and Bespoke Motoring are made to run in great dynamic. The car detailing shop opted for an industrial vintage look while the cafe’s brand is leaning towards minimalism. With the challenge of merging the design styles together, the usage of bricks, concrete and design features such as metal arches or trusses were incorporate into the design to resemble a vintage industrial warehouse; while the colors, materials and furniture selections are of minimalist style.
