Warm honey-toned timber strips weave across an undulating skeletal dome in Mauro Chiarella and Veizaga-Gronda team's Flexo InForm Assembly Pavilion, where bent plywood members intersect at precisely calibrated angles to create a rhythmic lattice structure that rises organically from a verdant lawn setting beneath a canopy of mature deciduous trees. The compositional architecture follows an inherently dynamic bilateral symmetry modified by the asymmetrical ground plane, with the pavilion positioned slightly left of center according to classical golden section principles, its curved profile creating a powerful visual dialogue with the arching branches overhead. Chromatic relationships establish themselves through the warm spectrum of natural wood tones ranging from pale raw sienna through deeper burnt umber where members overlap, set against the cool viridian and terre verte of surrounding grass and foliage, while a pale cerulean sky provides atmospheric recession in the upper register. The luminosity suggests late morning or early afternoon diffused daylight, producing soft-edged shadows beneath the structure and gentle gradations across the curved timber surfaces where members catch light at varying angles, creating a subtle chiaroscuro effect that emphasizes the three-dimensional complexity of the interwoven grid. Flexo InForm is an assembly pavilion derived from an innovative design processes oriented to geometric-material performance. The process developed begins with the parametric discretization of a complex geometry inspired by the weaving of natural fibers typical of the Argentine Littoral region. Simulation algorithms use active bending behavior as a design tool applied to structures that base their geometry on the elastic deformation of laminar elements. The result is a low-cost mono-material pavilion, self-supporting, adaptable to any terrain topography, low weight and fast assembly.
