Fineland Heshan Community Center recreation

Luminous aquamarine water dominates the lower register of studio revo and fineland architecture's Fineland Heshan Community Center Recreation, establishing an expansive horizontal plane that functions as both architectural element and reflective surface, doubling the visual impact of all elements positioned along its perimeter and creating a profound sense of spatial depth through mirror-like symmetry. The compositional architecture employs rigorous bilateral symmetry along a central vertical axis, with the eye drawn inexorably toward twin illuminated spherical forms at the far end of the natatorium that appear to float at the water's edge, their warm amber-gold luminosity creating a striking chromatic counterpoint to the predominantly cool palette of whites, grays, and celadon greens that define the surrounding envelope. These orbs, perhaps representing celestial bodies or abstract sculptural interventions, exhibit variegated surface textures suggesting translucent alabaster or onyx illuminated from within, their organic imperfection contrasting beautifully with the crisp geometric precision of the architectural framework. The ceiling plane extends as an uninterrupted expanse of pristine white, articulated by subtle recessed linear details and minimal downlighting that maintains luminous ambient conditions without competing with natural daylight entering through the extensive floor-to-ceiling glazing along the right elevation. This fenestration system, composed of vertical mullions and horizontal transoms, creates a rhythmic grid pattern that admits diffused natural illumination while simultaneously framing views to exterior circulation and landscape beyond. The left side of the composition features a colonnade of substantial white rectangular piers, their mass punctuated by elegantly proportioned arched openings that suggest processional movement and reference classical architectural vocabularies while remaining resolutely contemporary in their minimal detailing and surface treatment. Dark sculptural figures positioned on pedestals within this arcade introduce notes of visual weight and art-object presence, while minimalist lounging furniture suggests the space's recreational function. A solitary human figure, diminutive against the monumental scale, traverses the far pool deck, providing essential scale reference and activating the contemplative stillness with implied movement. The overall atmospheric register achieves remarkable equilibrium between serenity and grandeur, the hushed luminosity and reflective surfaces creating conditions for meditation while the generous proportions and refined material palette communicate institutional confidence and cultural aspiration.

The project attempts to fuse notable elements from Chinese traditions with modern beauty-appreciation and lifestyle, in a relatively eclectic way. Combining three or more functional sections into a space becomes a kind of trends in China and many other countries, due to customer experience and management operation. The club, swimming pool and restaurant were given three different elements to stand out from each other.
