Golden A' Design Award Winner 2020
Enveloping visitors in an ethereal realm of pure white undulation, T&P Architectural Design Studio's MT Fashion Center Hair Style Technical Training presents a spatial composition of extraordinary sculptural ambition where sinuous organic walls flow like frozen cloud formations or wind-carved snowdrifts rendered in high-gloss polymeric surfaces that capture and multiply ambient illumination across their seamless curves. The compositional architecture establishes a dramatic tension between the biomorphic fluidity of the enclosing surfaces and the geometric fragmentation of the ceiling plane, where polished stainless steel mirror panels arranged in an irregular constellation create kaleidoscopic reflections that visually expand the spatial volume while introducing chromatic complexity through their distorted representations of the space below. The chromatic palette operates within an exceptionally restrained high-key register dominated by titanium white walls transitioning through subtle ivory and pearl undertones where light grazes curved surfaces, punctuated by strategic chromatic accents including an island of preserved moss in verdant chartreuse and viridian tones suggesting natural vitality, polished gold cylindrical tables radiating warm amber luminosity, and a grove of birch trunks with their characteristic cream and graphite bark markings visible through an arched aperture. The flooring surface presents as poured epoxy resin in pristine white with dramatic sumi-ink gestural markings that meander across the surface like East Asian calligraphic brushstrokes or frozen rivulets, introducing dynamic linear counterpoint to the volumetric curves above. Illumination emerges from concealed sources within the feathered cloud formations that cascade from the mirrored ceiling panels, creating soft diffused ambient light supplemented by the reflective multiplication of the metallic surfaces. The spatial construction employs a phenomenological approach to depth where the continuous curved walls eliminate conventional corner articulation, creating an immersive environment that defies traditional architectural reading while the mirror ceiling introduces vertical spatial ambiguity through its inverted reflections. The textural hierarchy moves from the smooth almost liquid appearance of the curved walls to the tactile softness suggested by the feather installations, to the organic roughness of moss and bark, creating a rich sensory progression that elevates the training environment into an experiential sanctuary.
The MT Fashion Center is a member-only space created especially for negotiation, business, modeling training, catwalk show, and private custom image creation. Taking into account the fashion and the special experience for customers, designers thought space should meet the needs of a variety of functions, and show her vitality and unique soul. It needs a kind of power, just like the one of nature which is endless and full of vitality, melting glaciers, rejuvenating earth, and recovering everything.
