Towering laminated timber panels rise like monumental geological formations within Po Chun Tu's Anxin Exhibition Center, their warm honey-toned surfaces establishing an immediate dialogue between organic materiality and architectural ambition that commands the visual field with sculptural authority. The compositional architecture employs a dynamic asymmetrical arrangement wherein multiple vertical elements of varying heights and curvatures create an undulating rhythm across the picture plane, their irregular silhouettes suggesting eroded canyon walls or wind-carved sandstone monoliths translated into the precise language of contemporary fabrication. The chromatic palette restricts itself to a sophisticated monochromatic exploration of natural wood tones ranging from pale wheat and golden straw to deeper caramel and subtle amber undertones, punctuated dramatically by the deep charcoal ceiling grid above that establishes maximum tonal contrast. The vertical grain patterns running consistently along each panel create optical texture that simultaneously emphasizes height while providing visual rhythm through the subtle striations of laminated layers. Illumination descends from recessed ceiling fixtures creating pools of warm artificial light that graze the curved surfaces, producing gentle gradations of attached shadow that enhance the three-dimensional presence of each element while casting soft shadows at their bases. The spatial construction employs a theatrical sense of processional movement, with narrow passages between the monumental forms inviting physical navigation through the installation, a motion-blurred figure at center-left providing human scale reference that emphasizes the ambitious verticality of the surrounding structures. The foreground floor continues the wood material palette in lighter tones, while a stepped platform at right suggests functional programming within the sculptural environment. The shape of wood veneer shavings radians is the main inspiration for the design. The curved shape wall of logs scattered and stacked in the periphery covers the whole exhibition hall, creating a mysterious and quiet atmosphere through the physical structure. With the large log around, let a person feel like in the forest. At the entrance, vaguely the map distribution of the forest farm resources owned by Anxin around the world. The map made of log waste vividly shows the history. The specially designed rotating plate adds interest and interaction to the scene.
